J.P. Alanís has a diverse work experience across various industries. J.P. currently serves as the Co-CEO at StoryCo, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Whalerock Industries as the Director of Creative & Strategy from January 2020 to February 2022. J.P. also served as a Development Executive at Echoverse from March 2020 to January 2022.

Before these roles, J.P. Alanís worked as the General Manager at GOLF MEDIA by Tyler, The Creator from December 2014 to June 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Product Manager at Whalerock Industries from July 2013 to December 2014. J.P. began their career at Lionsgate, where they worked in Television Development from June 2012 to July 2013.

From 2008 to 2012, J.P. Alanís obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business in Cinematic Arts (BCA) from the University of Southern California.
