Ryan Token

Lead Software Engineer – Cloud Services at Storyboard

Ryan Token has had a long and varied career in software engineering, beginning with an internship at Oasis Digital Solutions Inc. in 2013. In 2014, they interned at Tavern Creek Partners LLC and ReTenant LLC, where they worked on custom web-based solutions and mobile development, respectively. In 2015, they interned at Magellan Health, where they used PL/SQL, SSIS, Cognos, and Oracle database architecture. In 2016, they interned at Membership Toolkit, Inc., where they built an administrative dashboard, implemented promo-code functionality, and worked on several enhancements for existing features. In 2017, they began working at ConocoPhillips as a Full Stack Developer, where they built web and mobile apps with a combination of React, C#, Mendix, AWS, and Azure. Ryan also earned an AWS Solutions Architect certification, championed React as the company's front-end framework of choice, and led a team of employees in planning for and executing a week-long IT recruiting event for college students. In 2018, they began working independently as a Cloud-Native Web & Mobile Developer, building serverless Jamstack apps using React + AWS services and native iOS apps with Swift and SwiftUI. Finally, in 2021, they joined Storyboard as a Lead Full-Stack Engineer, where they lead the full-stack software engineering team in building APIs, identity services, audio pipelines, and other back-end services. Ryan uses AWS (largely serverless), JavaScript (Node, TypeScript, & Vue), WebRTC and peer-to-peer technologies, Terraform, and the Jamstack to build the best audio solution for businesses & organizations.

Ryan Token obtained a B.S.B.A. in Computer Information Systems and Computer Science from The University of Tulsa between 2013 and 2017. In 2019, they obtained an Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft. In 2020, they obtained an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from AWS, and a Certified SAFe 4 Scrum Master certification from Scaled Agile, Inc.
