Frode HÃ¥vik Korneliussen has extensive work experience in meteorology and weather forecasting. Frode HÃ¥vik started their career as a Meteorologfullmektig at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute in 2001, where they worked as a weather observer at Bergen airport.

In 2002, Frode joined StormGeo and took on the role of Forecaster Assistant. In this role, they managed forecast texts and created graphics for media clients. Frode HÃ¥vik held this position until December 2004.

From January 2005 to November 2019, Frode worked at StormGeo as a Metocean and Energy Forecaster. Frode HÃ¥vik'smain focus in recent years has been on the energy side of meteorology, where they provided decision-supporting weather forecasts and comments for energy traders and analysts in Europe. Frode HÃ¥vik developed systems for creating ensemble clusters and analysis, with a particular emphasis on teleconnections and their impact on weather patterns. Frode HÃ¥vik also gained expertise in various weather indices such as the Madden-Julian Oscillation, the stratospheric conditions, and pressure indices like NAO, AO, and PNA. During this period, Frode also worked on-site as a metocean forecaster for the Martin Linge project in Western Norway.

Additionally, Frode served as the Branch Director of StormGeo Ltd. in the Republic of Azerbaijan from 2012 to 2013. Frode HÃ¥vik was responsible for overseeing operations and providing weather forecasting services. Frode HÃ¥vik also worked as a Marine Forecaster for the Caspian area in Baku from 2010 to 2013.

Throughout their career, Frode has demonstrated strong knowledge and experience in meteorology and has gained expertise in various aspects of weather forecasting, particularly in the energy sector.

From 1999 to 2004, Frode HÃ¥vik Korneliussen attended the University of Bergen (UiB) where they obtained a degree in Meteorology, specifically a "Cand.scient.".
