Capucine Bouckaert is a skilled Lead Chemical Engineer at Stora Enso, where since August 2020, Capucine has been responsible for building and operating a pilot facility aimed at producing bio-based plastics from plant-based sugars, particularly for the food and beverage industry. Prior experience includes a notable tenure at Tereos from December 2011 to August 2020, where Capucine held various roles including Innovation Team Leader for Sweeteners & Carbohydrates, R&D Coordinator for Sweeteners & Polyols, and Product Innovation Engineer focused on new process and product development. Earlier experience as an R&D Engineer at Europlasma and as an R&D Trainee at GOVI N.V. involved research on innovative coatings. Capucine Bouckaert holds a Master's degree in Bio-science Engineering: Chemistry & Processing from Ghent University and a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier.
