Mark MacKenzie began their work experience in the insurance industry in 2010 as an Associate Broker at Dan Lawrie Insurance Brokers. Mark held this position until April 2014. In May 2014, Mark joined StoneRidge Insurance Brokers as an Account Executive, and they continue to work in this role.

Mark MacKenzie attended West Ferris Secondary School from 1974 to 1979 for their high school education. Mark then enrolled in Scollard Hall from 1979 to 1980. Afterwards, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science at Wilfrid Laurier University from 1980 to 1985. Mark furthered their education at Wilfrid Laurier University, obtaining a Business Diploma in Business from 1985 to 1986.
