Marco Salguero has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Marco has worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Stoke Space since 2023. Before that, they were the Chief Engineer - MK1 Demonstrator at SLO Propulsion Technologies, where they led the development of a liquid bi-propellant rocket engine. Marco also served as the Vice President of the company.

In 2022, Marco worked as an Engineering Intern at STOKE Space Technologies, where they designed and integrated secondary structures. Marco also conducted tests on reaction-control thrusters. Marco was also a Mechanical Engineering Intern at BLUE ORIGIN, where they supported design efforts on the Stage 2 / Payload Accommodations Structures team for the New Glenn vehicle.

In 2022, Marco worked at ETOILES as a Lead Structures and Mechanisms Engineer, leading the mechanical design efforts for a 3U satellite. Marco also worked as a Structures and Mechanisms Engineer at the company. Marco also worked as an Instructional Student Assistant at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.

During their undergraduate studies, Marco worked as an Undergraduate Research Associate at Cal Poly IME, where they researched applications of metallic additive manufacturing. Marco also worked at Cal Poly Racing as an Aerodynamic Structures Lead. Marco was responsible for overseeing the design of aerodynamic elements and conducting structural simulations.

In 2021, Marco worked as a Structural Engineering Intern - Tooling Design at Virgin Orbit, where they modified existing composite tooling and designed payload-integration tooling. Marco also worked at Stratolaunch as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, supporting manufacturing efforts on the Talon-A program.

Overall, Marco has gained extensive experience in mechanical design, structural engineering, and manufacturing in the aerospace industry.

Marco Salguero attended Port Townsend High School from 2014 to 2018, where they received their High School Diploma. After that, from 2016 to 2018, they attended Peninsula College and obtained an Associate of Arts degree. Currently, from 2018 to 2023, Marco is pursuing their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
