David O'Garr

David O'Garr has extensive experience in the education sector, spanning over two decades. David is currently working as an Assistant Principal Curriculum at Peterborough College. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Faculty at Peterborough College from 2019 to 2022. Before joining Peterborough College, they served as the Head of Faculty Creative, Digital and Service Industries at Stoke on Trent College. David also held the role of Head of School Visual and Performing Arts at Stoke on Trent College. David O'Garr has also worked as the Director of Learning 14-19 and Director of Studies - Creative Art, Media and Theatre at City College Southampton. David O'Garr's education history begins in 1986 when they enrolled in the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. David completed a Certificate in Contemporary Dance Performance in 1989. Following this, in 1990, they attended Kerela Kalamandalam in Kerela, India, where they obtained a Certificate in Kathakali. In 1994, David pursued higher education at the University of Leeds, earning a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts (BPA) with a specialization in Dance in 1995. Returning to academia in 1997, they enrolled at The University of Huddersfield for a two-year program, completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in 1999. Later, in 2009, David attended Weston College and obtained a Level 5 Award in Management (ILM) in 2010.
