Karthik Kunjali has held various positions in the field of engineering and water desalination since 2007. In 2007, they were a Hardware Design Engineer at HAL Edgewood Technologies. Karthik then moved to Deluxe Digital Studios as a Test Engineer (Blu Ray) in 2008. In 2011, they held two positions, one as a Researcher at the Centre of Excellence in Nanotechnology and the other as a Project Development Officer at AIT Consulting. In 2012, they began their PhD Candidate position at SQU, Muscat, focusing on water desalination using capacitive deionization (CDI) techniques. In 2015, they became a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Chair in Nanotechnology for Water Desalination. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Researcher at Kungliga tekniska högskolan, developing innovative and environmentally friendly methods for water treatment. In 2019, they co-founded Stockholm Water Technology, where they held the roles of Co-Founder and CTO, as well as Co-Founder and CEO.
Karthik Kunjali's education history includes completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Water Desalination from Sultan Qaboos University between 2012 and 2015, an MS in Nanotechnology from Asian Institute of Technology between 2009 and 2011, a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Industrial Electronics from Bharati Vidyapeeth between 2000 and 2005, and schooling from The Bishops School, Pune Camp between 1988 and 1997.
