Marie Schrul has extensive experience in financial management within the education sector, currently serving as the Executive Director of Finance for Stillwater Area Public Schools since November 2022. Prior to this role, Marie held various positions at Saint Paul Public Schools from 1998 to September 2022, culminating in the role of Chief Financial Officer, where oversight included a substantial annual budget of $900 million for a district serving 33,000 students and over 6,000 employees. Marie's leadership in financial operations encompassed directing a team of 45 finance professionals and managing diverse financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, and risk management. Marie holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both from Metro State University.
