John Mackin has been working in the media production and design industry since 2010. In 2010 they began working as a Banquet Server at La Scala Italian Bistro. In 2017, they started working as a Student Graphic Designer and Temporary Graphic Designer at the University of Colorado Boulder. During this time, they designed graphic content, branded and marketed events, and assisted with maintaining a CMS website. In 2019, they began working as a Freelance Graphic / Motion Designer / Multimedia / Media Production. During this time, they designed a brand identity, logo, and package labels for a local small business, created a motion design video loop pack for Martin Professional, produced multi-camera live streams and sound for This Song Is Sick's "The Sauce" parties, and produced live visuals for events of ~300 people. In 2020, they began working as a Freelance Graphic Designer for ThisSongIsSick.com, where they used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign to create on-brand marketing assets. Currently, John is working as a Production Artist at Sticker Mule, where they assist in the creation of proofs and production artwork.

John Mackin graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Production and a minor in Business, as well as a Certificate in TAM (Tech, Arts, Media). John also holds five certifications from Lynda.com, obtained in 2019 and 2018, in Illustrator: Package Design, Learning Package Design, Print Production: Prepress and Press Checks, After Effects CC 2019: New Features, and After Effects Guru: Expressions.
