Sophie Leijdesdorff currently serves as Deputy Lead of the Division Mental Health at the Mental Health and Neuroscience Research Institute (MHeNs), Maastricht University, since January 2024. In addition, Leijdesdorff has held various academic roles at Maastricht University since January 2017, including Assistant Professor, Postdoctoral Scientist, and PhD candidate focusing on youth mental health. As Supervisor and Head of Training at Stichting @ease, Leijdesdorff contributes to improving accessibility in mental health care for young people. Past experience includes coaching at Het Coachcafé, providing psychological services at MET ggz and Virenze, and conducting research at Erasmus MC, where Leijdesdorff focused on neuropsychological profiles in dementia. Leijdesdorff holds a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
