Barend Kuenen has extensive experience in the fields of student housing, railway operations, and real estate management. Currently serving as a member of the board at DUWO Student Housing since March 2019, Barend Kuenen is responsible for internal organization and daily management. In parallel, since July 2019, Barend Kuenen has contributed to the advisory board of the Waarborgfonds sociale woningbouw. Previously, Barend Kuenen held leadership positions at NS Stations from 2005 to March 2019, including roles as Director of Stations Management & Exploitatie and Director Retail & Services, overseeing operations at 400 railway stations and managing a vast retail portfolio. Earlier roles include Director Corporate Development and Director International Business Development at Nederlandse Spoorwegen, as well as positions in property management and legal services. Barend Kuenen holds a Masterā€™s degree in Real Estate from the University of Amsterdam and an LLM in Private Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
