Darrin Blackford is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in law enforcement and corporate security. Currently serving as Chief Security Officer at STERIS Corporation since January 2015, Darrin leads a global team focused on the protection of people, property, information, supply chains, and customer products. Prior to this role, Darrin spent 24 years with the U.S. Secret Service, concluding as Director of Corporate Security, and held the position of Supervisory Special Agent. Darrin's career in law enforcement began as a Police Officer with the Arlington Police Department from November 1986 to December 1990. Darrin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology/Criminal Justice from Capital University and has trained at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy and Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
