Jennifer Bauer has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2010 as the Front Office Manager at Coon's Franklin Lodge. In this role, they facilitated resort operations, managed 30 employees, and provided solution-oriented management to achieve resort capacity. In 2015, they were an Intern in the Grants Department at Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, where they conducted and presented a comprehensive needs assessment report, worked collaboratively with multiple departments to create imaginative communication-based intervention strategies, and supported departments in crisis communication efforts. In 2016, they were a Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota, where they supported instructors in planning and facilitation of the class two times a week, lead lessons and group discussions weekly, and provided support, constructive feedback, and grading for 30 students. Finally, from 2018 to present, they have held various roles at Step One Foods, including Director of Customer Success, Customer Success Manager, Customer Retention Manager, and Marketing Manager.

Jennifer Bauer completed their Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs at the University of Minnesota in 2017. Jennifer continued their education at the University of Minnesota and received their Master of Arts in Health Communication in 2018.
