Daniel Borch Ibsen is a postdoctoral researcher currently holding positions at Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus, MRC Epidemiology Unit, Aarhus Universitet, and Institut for Idræt og Ernæring v/ Københavns Universitet since January 2022, with a focus on the mechanisms by which dietary patterns influence the development of type 2 diabetes and the use of metabolomics analyses for objective dietary intake measurement. Previously, Daniel conducted research at Karolinska Institute on the relationship between dietary intake and heart failure risk, and at Aarhus University on the impact of plant-based diets on stroke risk. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Copenhagen and a Professionsbachelor in nutrition and health from VIA University College.
