Xavier Gerin has had a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Xavier is currently employed as a Software Engineer at Stendahls since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Derivco Ipswich where they held various roles such as Technical Lead, Team Lead, and Senior Software Engineer from June 2016 to June 2021. Xavier was also self-employed as a Senior Software Engineer from September 2014 to April 2016. Before that, they worked at OpenText as a Consultant from February 2013 to August 2014. Their earliest professional experience was at Euriware where they worked as a Project Technical Leader and Software Engineer from November 2010 to January 2013. Xavier possessed strong technical skills and was also involved in mentoring junior engineers and providing assistance to colleagues throughout their career.

Xavier Gerin earned a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Computer Science from Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Luminy (ESIL) from 2005 to 2008. In 2006 and 2007, they also participated in a one-year exchange program at Uppsala University, where they studied Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Xavier obtained certification as a Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate from Microsoft in April 2023.
