Karim Elshabrawi

MEA Medical Excellence Assignee at Stemline Therapeutics

Karim Elshabrawi has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Karim started their career as a Medical Representative at Solvay Pharmaceuticals, where they promoted various products such as vaccines, anti-vertigo, anti-depressant, and pregnancy support hormones. Karim then joined Abbott as a Medical Representative, promoting antibiotics, anti-depressant, and anti-vertigo medications. At Novartis, Karim worked as a Medical Representative, promoting pain killers and anti-pyretic drugs.

Karim's career progressed to Amgen, where they held multiple roles. Karim started as an Oncology, Hematology & Osteoporosis Product Specialist in Libya, responsible for launching the company's portfolio in the country. Karim achieved impressive growth each year. Later, they became a Nephrology Senior Product Specialist in Egypt, leading a government project for Aranesp. Karim then relocated to Saudi Arabia and worked as a Senior Oncology Product Specialist, promoting Vectibix for metastatic colorectal cancer in Riyadh. Lastly, Karim moved to the UAE and became an Oncology/Hematology Sr. Product Specialist, where they excelled and won the 2020 Best Performer award for the Gulf region for their work with Nplate.

Currently, Karim is working at Stemline Therapeutics as an MEA Medical Science Liaison. Karim is responsible for the Oncology and Hematology portfolio in the Middle East and Africa. Karim will soon transition to the role of Medical Advisor Oncology- Gulf countries & Lebanon, where they will oversee the solid tumor portfolio and clinical research programs.

Karim Elshabrawi completed their education in a chronological order. Karim attended Mahalla Secondary School from 2002 to 2004, where they pursued High School/Secondary Certificate Programs. Following this, from 2005 to 2009, Karim obtained their Bachelor's degree from Mansoura University. In 2013, they attended Notting Hill School of Business, where they earned a Mini MBA. Most recently, from 2023 to 2024, Karim pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Oncology and Cancer Biology at the University of Buckingham.
