Lucia Tapia is an experienced professional in the fields of facilities management and research. Currently serving as a Senior Facilities Associate at STEMCELL Technologies since September 2016, Lucia has a strong background in laboratory management, having held various roles at the University of British Columbia from 2006 to 2015, including Research Associate and Postdoctoral Fellow. Key achievements include managing laboratory moves, designing laboratory layouts, and improving procurement processes. Lucia also has experience in supervising personnel, organizing hiring events, and engaging in grant writing. Lucia earned a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Neuroscience from Universidad de Chile and pursued further education at Langara College.
