Anna Tymofyeyeva is a dedicated graduate student researcher at The Hospital for Sick Children, under the supervision of Dr. Peter Dirks, since September 2024. Anna has an extensive background in STEM education and empowerment, serving as the Co-Chief Operating Officer and Chief STEMpowerment Officer at STEM Fellowship since October 2019, where significant accomplishments include steering initiatives for underrepresented high school students and securing a $5,000 TELUS Community Board Grant. Previous roles include leading the Research Exploration Opportunity program, copyediting for the SF Journal, and contributing to various research projects in institutions such as the University Health Network and INCA Lab. Anna holds a Bachelor of Medical Science with an Honours Specialization in Biochemistry from Western University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto.
