Cristina Palacios has extensive work experience in internal audit and financial roles. Cristina is currently serving as the Vice President Internal Audit Manager at Stellar Bank, where they lead the planning, scoping, and development of audit test plans and assists with risk assessments. Prior to that, they held the same position at CommunityBank of Texas N.A. from 2016 to 2022. Cristina also worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at Genesis Energy, L.P. from 2014 to 2016, where they conducted various audits and reported findings to improve risk management. Cristina also has experience at BBVA in the USA, where they served as an Internal Auditor, Senior Auditor, and Audit Team Lead, conducting operational, financial, compliance, and credit audits. Cristina also briefly worked as a Budget Analyst at BBVA. In addition, Cristina was selected for an international exchange program at BBVA, collaborating with various audit teams on projects related to underwriting and covenant follow-up procedures.

Cristina Palacios holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, with a specialization in Management Information Systems, from Texas A&M University. Cristina also has a certification in Internal Controls from Illumeo.
