George Tukhareli has extensive work experience in procurement and supply chain management. George most recently worked at STELCO - The Steel Company of Canada as the Head of Indirect Procurement since May 2017. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Advisor, Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing at GDT Consulting / OPG from October 2016 to May 2017. George also worked at MAN Diesel & Turbo as a Senior Procurement Manager from March 2011 to June 2016. George gained experience as a Procurement Manager at Aker Solutions from February 2008 to October 2009 and at Hatch Ltd. from December 2006 to February 2008.

George Tukhareli holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Solid State Physics from Tbilisi State University in Georgia. George also has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the same university. In terms of additional certifications, George obtained the SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) certification from Supply Chain Canada in September 2006. George then acquired the CPSM® (Certified Professional in Supply Management®) certification from the Institute for Supply Management, USA in May 2009. Furthermore, George obtained the IFPSM (International Federation of Purchasing & Supply Management) certification in September 2016. George also completed a program on Negotiating and Drafting IT Agreements at York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, earning the certification in May 2022.
