Bruno Coelho Avelar has a diverse work experience in the steel industry spanning over two decades. Bruno Coelho most recently worked at STELCO - The Steel Company of Canada as a Strategic Planning Specialist. In this role, they focused on market intelligence assessments and supporting projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Bruno Coelho Avelar has a diverse education history with a focus on business administration and renewable energy technology. In 1999, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Following this, they pursued a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, which they completed between 2008 and 2010.

In recent years, Bruno has engaged in further educational pursuits. In 2022, they completed a Certificate program in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the University of Toronto. The same year, they also enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder to specialize in Renewable Energy Technology, earning a specialization in this field in 2023.
