Krister Jacobsson serves as the Head of Data and Automation at Stegra since November 2021. Prior to this role, Jacobsson held the position of Vice President of Computer Science at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden from May 2021 to November 2021. With extensive experience at Tobii Tech AB, Jacobsson held multiple director-level roles from August 2016 to May 2021, overseeing software, platform software, and computer vision and algorithms. Jacobsson's career also includes serving as Head of the Algorithm Group and Software Engineer at RaySearch Laboratories from August 2009 to August 2016, and as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the California Institute of Technology from September 2008 to August 2009, focusing on modeling and control of computer networks. Jacobsson earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Automatic Control and Telecommunications from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Vehicle Engineering from the same institution.
