Steve Shpilsky has a long and varied career in the real estate industry. In 2000, they started working at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Associate, and was fast-tracked to Senior Manager two years later. In 2007, they took on the role of General Director Ukraine at ECO Eastern European Real Estate AG, managing and overseeing operations for a EU100 million Ukrainian commercial real estate fund. From 2010 to 2019, they were a Member at California Real Estate Regional Center, where they were involved with a $33 million raise for a Hyatt hotel development in Palm Springs, CA, and a $2.5 million raise for a residential development in San Diego, CA. In 2019, they became the CEO & Co-Founder of Stay Open. In 2021, they joined the MetaProp Accelerator at Columbia University, where they are involved in the world's premier PropTech accelerator program for emerging Real Estate technology companies.
Steve Shpilsky obtained their Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business between 1996 and 2000. Steve then went on to receive their MBA from the same institution between 2010 and 2012. Additionally, they are a Certified Public Accountant.
