Senior Director Clinical Operations, Safety, And Customer Service Excellence at Statistics & Data Corporation (SDC)

Alfonso Coro, MPH has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare industry. Alfonso started their career as a Research Assistant in the Department of Pharmacology at UCLA Health and then worked as a Project Manager in the Department of Urology, where they assisted in the management and treatment of prostate cancer patients. Alfonso also served as a Research Manager in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Hypertension, where they recruited and assessed research participants for various diabetes-related studies. Alfonso later became the Program Manager of the Basic, Translational, and Clinical Research Division of Hematology and Oncology at UCLA Health. In this role, they oversaw research activities and managed research projects in the field of oncology. Alfonso then joined OUT for Work as the Executive Director, where they contributed to the organization's mission of promoting LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace. Alfonso later returned to UCLA Health as the Director of Research Programs, overseeing clinical trials and ensuring compliance with regulations from organizations such as the National Cancer Institute and the Institutional Review Board. After their time at UCLA Health, Alfonso became the Regional Director of Clinical Research and Operations at Providence Health & Services, where they provided strategic direction and management of clinical research operations. Alfonso then joined Science 37 as the Senior Director of Clinical Operations, overseeing clinical projects and ensuring adherence to contractual timelines and quality standards. Most recently, Alfonso has been working at Men's Health Foundation as the Director of Clinical Research Operations, where they supervise the evaluation and execution of clinical trial protocols and provides training to research teams. Currently, Alfonso is the Senior Director of Clinical Operations, Safety, and Customer Service Excellence at SDC (Statistics & Data Corporation), where they hold a leadership role in clinical operations and customer service. Throughout their career, Alfonso has demonstrated expertise in various areas of clinical research and operations.

Alfonso Coro, MPH obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona in 2003. Alfonso then pursued a Master's Degree in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles and completed it in 2008. Later, they attended New York Medical College where they earned a Master's Degree in International Public Health/International Health in 2015.
