Micheal Mendizabal is currently serving as an Undergraduate Research Intern at Atacama Biomaterials, focusing on fluid dynamics and interdisciplinary research while contributing 320 hours to advancing renewable materials for a circular economy. In parallel, Micheal is an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Station1, participating in a competitive research program that emphasizes socially-directed science and technology, where a total of 100 hours has been dedicated to professional advancement and interdisciplinary assignments. Previously, Micheal acted as a Peer Navigator at Santa Monica College, guiding 100 STEM freshmen through career management and educational workshops, contributing 400 hours to student support. Additional roles include Mathematics Tutor at HeyTutor and Virtual Learning Ambassador at the South Bay Workforce Investment Board. Micheal is pursuing studies at the University of California, Berkeley, following an academic foundation at Santa Monica College.
