Michelle Eistrup

Artist In Ulk + The Children Workshops at SMK – Statens Museum for Kunst

Michelle Eistrup is an accomplished visual artist and curator with extensive experience in the art sector. Currently serving as the Aaron Douglas Fellow at Fisk University since August 2022, Michelle has been a vital part of the Intercultural Platform since May 2011, focusing on diasporic cultures. Additionally, Michelle has been involved with the Statens Museum for Kunst since 2007, participating as an artist in Ulk + The Children Workshops. Previous roles include serving as a curator/coordinator for BAT-Bridging Art and Text in 2012 and co-curating projects for the Images of My World Festival from 2009 to 2010. Michelle's educational background includes studies at the Royal Academy of Arts, Media Arts School from 1994 to 2000, and a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Anthropology, Sociology, and Arts from Haverford College, completed in 1991.
