Lisa Allen Brown has over 20 years of work experience in various communication and marketing roles. Lisa started their career as an Intern at WGBH in 1995 and later worked as an Intern at Capitol Records in 1998. In 1999, they served as a Sales Assistant/Office Manager at Adweek Magazine. From 2000 to 2008, Lisa worked as a Retirement Communication Specialist at Massport Employees' Retirement System, managing marketing communication projects and leading strategic branding efforts. Lisa then joined Massachusetts Port Authority, where they worked as a Communications/Web Content Manager and later as a Manager of Strategic Communications from 2008 to 2012. Since 2012, Lisa has been working at State Street, where they held various roles including Assistant Vice President, Vice President, and Managing Director of Global Marketing Internal Communications. In their current role, they lead a team responsible for strategic internal communications, digital transformation efforts, and developing and executing communication plans for employee target audiences.
Lisa Allen Brown obtained a B.S. in Advertising & Marketing Communication from Emerson College in the years 1995 to 1999. In 2004 to 2005, they earned a Graduate Certificate in Women in Politics & Public Policy from UMass Boston. Prior to these degrees, Lisa attended Boston Latin School from 1991 to 1995, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned. Additionally, Lisa obtained a certification as an IBM Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM in 2017.
