Xiao Yang is a seasoned statistician and software developer with extensive experience in both academic and industry settings. Currently serving as a Principal Statistician and Software Developer at StataCorp since October 2012, Xiao Yang specializes in the research and development of statistical methods, contributing to commands and documentation for Stata software, and answering user inquiries. Previous roles included Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa, focusing on Bayesian modeling, statistical analysis, and educational instruction. Xiao Yang holds a Ph.D. and an MS in Statistics from the University of Iowa, an MS in Mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University, and a BS in Computer Science and Finance from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
