Jonathan Phoon has a diverse work experience starting from 2010 and includes positions in various industries. Jonathan recently worked at StashAway as a Lead Data Engineer and previously as a Data/Full Stack Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at PALO IT as a Software Engineer and at General Assembly as an Instructional Assistant and Full Stack Developer. Jonathan also has experience as a Front End Engineer at Aleph-Labs and co-founder roles at Stretch Pte Ltd and Appsolutely Technologies Pte Ltd. Additionally, they worked as an Administrative Assistant at Nanyang Technological University, VVIP Transport Operator at Singapore Armed Forces, and as a Customer Service Officer at CPF Board. Jonathan also completed a 10-week data science course at General Assembly and worked on a project involving bitcoin time series price prediction with an LSTM model.

Jonathan Phoon has a diverse educational background in various fields. In 2008, they began their education at Republic Polytechnic, where they pursued a Diploma of Business Applications. During their time there, their studies focused on information technology and business. In 2016, they attended General Assembly and completed a Web Development Immersive program.

In the following year, Jonathan furthered their education at General Assembly in the field of data science, obtaining certifications in both Data Analytics and Data Science. Jonathan also received certification in Product Management and User Experience Design from General Assembly in 2018. Additionally, they completed courses in Visual Design and Data Analytics from General Assembly in the same year.

Jonathan has also acquired certifications outside of General Assembly. In 2017, they became an ICAgile Certified Professional. In 2018, they completed various courses in deep learning and neural networks from Coursera. Recently, they obtained certifications in Data Engineering and Data Streaming NanoDegrees from Udacity in 2020.
