Alex Hartford has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. They started their career at Progressive Insurance as an Application Developer, where they worked on C# REST API's and helped transition the team to an agile/scrum framework. They also collaborated with other interns to develop a VR data visualization tool.
Afterwards, Alex worked at Northwestern Mutual as a Software Engineer, where they developed features for document storage and sharing using Java Spring Boot, Node.js, and React. They also facilitated integrations and automation for ITSM platforms.
Alex then founded their own company, Fresh Technologies, where they developed software solutions for gun ranges. They worked on this venture for four years.
Following that, they co-founded SudoChef and worked there for a year, before joining Banter as a Senior Software Engineer. At Banter, they led product development for iOS and Android, mentored other developers, and implemented serverless AWS backend using various services.
Currently, Alex is working at StartPlaying as a Software Engineer.
Alex Hartford attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering from 2014 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering. In October 2019, they obtained the ITIL® v4 Foundation in IT Service Management certification from PeopleCert.
