Hiroshi Sugiyama serves as Group Executive Officer at Startia Holdings, Inc. since September 2020, overseeing Legal and International Business Support affairs, and also holds the position of Executive Officer responsible for legal matters and international business development within the Startia group. Additionally, Sugiyama is an Advisor for Global Business Strategy at DAIZ Inc., a board member at Lib Work Co., Ltd., and a Visiting Professor at 東海大学, while previously serving as an Adjunct Lecturer at Kumamoto University until March 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Corporate Counsel at Amazon, Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, and a Legal Specialist at the Bank of Japan. Sugiyama holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School and a BA from The University of Tokyo.
