Anthony Xu currently serves as Managing Director at Starr Private Equity Partners, a position held since January 2024. Xu has been a Partner at New Ground Ventures since September 2016, where the firm focuses on funding visionary entrepreneurs. Previous experience includes Managing Director roles at Silver Point Finance from March 2021 to December 2023 and Reservoir Capital Group from August 2008 to August 2016. Additionally, Xu served as a Board Director for Prosperity Life Insurance Group from 2010 to 2018 and began the professional career as an Analyst at Bain Capital Credit / Sankaty Advisors from August 2006 to July 2008. Anthony Xu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Economics from Yale University, completed between 2002 and 2006, and attended Woburn Collegiate Institute from 1998 to 2002.
