Miranda Sowden has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Miranda began their career in 1994 at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Principal Consultant, where they worked until 2002. In 2002, they joined IBM as the Asia Pacific GBS Professional Development Leader until 2005. Miranda then held positions at IBM as the PM Profession Program Manager from 2006 to 2008 and as a Senior HR Business Partner from 2008 to 2012. In 2012, Miranda took on the role of HR Manager at Starpharma and concurrently served as the Director of Sowden Consulting. Miranda joined The Reach Foundation in 2012 as an HR Consultant and later became the National HR Manager from 2014 to 2021. Finally, in 2022, they assumed the position of Director of People & Culture at Starpharma.
Miranda Sowden has a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Psychology and English from the University of Melbourne. In 2013, they also completed a Diploma of Human Resource Management and a Diploma of Business from Swinburne University of Technology. Prior to their university studies, Miranda attended Yarra Valley Grammar School for their secondary education.
