Kirt Conrad's work experience includes serving as the CEO of the Stark Area Regional Transit Authority starting in 2009, where they oversee all public transportation services in Stark County. Kirt also worked as a Board Member for Akron Public Schools from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they were the Director of Planning at the METRO Regional Transit Authority from 1996 to 2009, where they evaluated transportation services in Summit County, Ohio and handled the purchase of railroad right of way and negotiation of operating agreements.
Kirt Conrad has a Graduate Certificate in International Finance with a focus on Alternative Energies from Grenoble Ecole de Management. Kirt obtained this certificate in 2012. In 1995, they earned a Master's degree in Public Administration from The University of Akron. Kirt'sBachelor's degree in Political Science was obtained from Kent State University in 1994. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Model-Based Systems Engineering, Models in Engineering, and Architecture of Complex Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Kirt also holds a certification in Ohio Lean Boot Camp-Camo Belt from Kent State University, which was obtained in 2014. In 1993, they attended Georgetown University but did not obtain a degree.
