Trevor Bennett

Co-Founder at Starfish Space

Trevor Bennett is the Co-Founder of Starfish Space. Prior to Starfish Space, Trevor was a Flight Sciences Engineer at BLUE ORIGIN from August 2017 to October 2019. At BLUE ORIGIN, Trevor designed and analyzed in-flight guidance algorithms, including orbit targeting guidance. Trevor also designed and implemented autonomous software sequencers for New Glenn and presented to company ownership. Trevor developed a variety of simulation models including BE-3U, vehicle navigation, and tanks.

Prior to BLUE ORIGIN, Trevor was a Visiting Technologist at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory from June 2016 to September 2016. At NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Trevor developed tools and techniques that improve the early mission concept design process for present and future missions. Trevor integrated the tool in the Asteroid Redirect Robotic Mission (ARRM) Phase B development.

Trevor has also interned at Applied Defense Solutions as a Student Intern in June 2014 to August 2014 and at Sandia National Laboratories as a Student Intern in May 2010 to August 2010. Trevor was also a Graduate Research Assistant at University of Colorado Boulder from August 2013 to May 2017.

Trevor Bennett finished their undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Trevor then went on to get their PhD in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder.
