Simon Grätzer has a strong background in software engineering, with experience in various roles at different companies. Simon currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at Stardog since November 2021. Prior to this, they held the same position at MongoDB from May 2021 to November 2021. Simon also worked at Stardog as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2020 to April 2021. Before that, they were a Softwareentwickler at ArangoDB from March 2017 to November 2020, where they developed storage engines, replication protocols, and query execution. Simon also provided engineering support, gave conference talks, and led training sessions. Simon began their career as a Softwareentwickler at cyber:con GmbH in March 2009 and worked there until February 2017. Simon also served as a Werkstudent at ADIS-Technology GmbH from April 2014 to July 2016.

Simon Grätzer attended RWTH Aachen University from 2011 to 2017, where they pursued a Master of Science in Informatik.
