Julie Hargis has worked in the culinary industry since 2008. Julie began their career as a Sous Chef at Viand Restaurant in 2008 and then moved to Ruprecht Company Wholesale Meats in 2011 as a Research and Development Chef. In 2014, they became the Corporate Chef at Outback Steakhouse for Bloomin' Brands, Inc. and then worked as the Director of Culinary Innovation at BJ's Restaurants, Inc. from 2016-2021. Currently, they are the Culinary Operations & Purchasing Manager at Starbird.

Julie Hargis has an educational background that includes a Culinary Arts degree from Kendall College (2007-2011), a BSBA in Corporate Finance from Western Carolina University (2000-2002), and attendance at Appalachian State University (1995-1999).
