Erwin Beerens has extensive experience in quality assurance and management within the medical diagnostics field. Currently serving as a Beleidsadviseur kwaliteit at Star-shl since June 2019, Erwin contributes to providing high-quality medical diagnostics with a team of over 1,300 professionals in Southwest Netherlands. Previously, at Pathan b.v. from November 2014 to June 2019, Erwin was responsible for developing and maintaining the quality management system while advising management on quality policies. At Erasmus MC, from February 2005 to November 2014, Erwin ensured the implementation and maintenance of NEN-EN ISO 15189:2012 accreditation in the Pathology department, also coordinating projects in molecular diagnostics. Erwin's career began with a brief experience as an analyst at Amphia Ziekenhuis in 2001. Erwin holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biology and Medical Laboratory Research from Avans Hogeschool Breda.
