Stephen Barr has a diverse work experience in the field of project controls and planning. Stephen currently works as a Project Controls Lead at Stanwell Corporation Limited since 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Lead Planner at iPLAN Consulting Pty Ltd from 2017 to 2022, where they worked on major coal projects and supported the expansion of existing coal mines. Stephen was also involved in the construction of a solar farm and the development of tender schedules for renewable energy projects while on secondment to Downer.

Stephen's previous experience includes working as a Senior Planning Engineer at INPEX - Ichthys LNG Project from 2015 to 2017, where they were responsible for planning and project controls matters for various infrastructure works. Stephen also served as a Senior Planning Engineer at Origin Energy - APLNG Project from 2012 to 2015, handling planning activities during the detailed design, procurement, and construction of pipeline compression facilities and gas processing facilities.

Additionally, Stephen worked as a Planning Engineer at Arrow Energy - Arrow LNG Project from 2011 to 2012, and at Foster Wheeler Energy Ltd from 2007 to 2011. At Foster Wheeler, they were involved in planning and site coordination for the Pluto LNG Project in Karratha, Australia, as well as at the module pre-assembly yard in Thailand.

Overall, Stephen Barr has demonstrated their expertise in project controls, planning, and coordination across various projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Stephen Barr obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from Massey University between 1997 and 2000. In 2007, they completed a course on Primavera P6 Fundamentals at RPC Training. In 2009 and 2010, Stephen pursued a Project Controls NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) with a specialization in Project Controls Level 3 at ECITB. Lastly, in 2017, they completed a course on 4D Planning/Project Management at Red Arrow Group.
