John Philp is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in bridge engineering, currently serving as the British Columbia Bridge Team Lead at Stantec since April 2018. Philp has a proven track record in managing teams responsible for bridge designs, inspections, and structural assessments, engaging with both government and private clients. Prior to Stantec, Philp held leadership positions at McElhanney, Klohn Crippen Berger, and Hatch Mott MacDonald, and contributed significantly to major projects with Cleveland Bridge Steel Co. Ltd and Trafalgar House Construction Ltd. With a B.Eng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Philp's career spans over two decades, demonstrating a strong focus on project management and structural engineering within various high-profile roles.
