Chris Nelson currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President, and President of Tools & Outdoor at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. since May 2023. Prior to this role, Chris held various leadership positions at Carrier from July 2012 to May 2023, including President of HVAC, President of Commercial HVAC, and President of North America HVAC. Chris began the career at Carrier HVAC in 2004, ascending through roles such as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Director of Residential HVAC Product Marketing. Earlier experiences include working as a Consultant and Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company from 2000 to 2004, and as a Sales Representative at Johnson & Johnson from 1996 to 1998. Chris started professional service as an Officer in the US Army from 1992 to 1996. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Business from Cornell University, obtained between 1998 and 2000, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame, completed in 1992.
