Alex Gurza has extensive experience in employee and labor relations, currently serving as Associate Vice President at Stanford University since May 2015, following a role as Employee & Labor Relations Director. Prior to this position, Alex held various leadership roles with the City of San José from October 1994 to January 2015, including Deputy City Manager and Director of Employee Relations. Alex also worked as a consultant for HR Consulting for a brief period in early 2015. Alex is an alumnus of Stanford University, where a BA was earned from 1980 to 1984, and attended Bellarmine College Preparatory from 1976 to 1980.
