Chris Parrott has extensive experience in software engineering and development, currently serving as a Dev Tech Software Engineer at NVIDIA since July 2013, working with the HPC Compilers Group. Prior to this role, Chris held positions at the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation as HPG Working Group Technical Representative for PGI and served as Applications Development Engineer at The Portland Group/ST Microelectronics from March 2011 to July 2013. Other notable roles include Software Development Engineer at Convey Computer, Staff Software Test Engineer at LSI Logic, Senior Product Development Engineer at AMD, Technical Representative at SPEC, Software Engineer II at Echostar Technologies Corp., and Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard. Chris began a career in software development as a Software Co-Op at Convex Computer Corp. Chris holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
