Lars Grotewold is a seasoned professional in climate action and strategic philanthropy, currently serving as the Director of Climate Action at Stiftung Mercator GmbH since April 2009. Under this role, Lars focuses on management and policy related to climate, energy, and transportation. In addition to this position, Lars holds various leadership roles including Director (interim), Europe in the World at Kühne Foundation; External Expert for the Kühne Climate Center with The International Council on Clean Transportation; and Sprecher des Rats für Ökologie und Nachhaltigkeit des Bischofs von Essen at Bistum Essen. Further contributions include co-founding and chairing shareholder meetings for 2050 Media Projekt gGmbH and Agora Transport Transformation gGmbH, and membership on the supervisory board of Agora Energiewende.
