Hilde Vautmans is a prominent Belgian politician and member of the European Parliament since January 2015, representing Open Vld/Renew EU. In the European Parliament, Hilde Vautmans serves as Chair of the Delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly Africa-EU and Vice-Chair of the Delegation in the Joint Parliamentary Assembly ACP-EU, among other significant roles in various committees. Hilde Vautmans has also held the position of President of the European Movement in Belgium since April 2023 and serves as Schepen in the city of Sint-Truiden since January 2013. Additionally, Hilde Vautmans was the President of the European Liberal Forum from September 2020 to September 2024 and previously served as a Member of the Chamber of Representatives from May 2003 to May 2010. Educationally, Hilde Vautmans holds two Master's degrees from KU Leuven, one in Criminology and another in Social Sciences.
