Igor Van der Wal has extensive expertise in environmental and spatial planning advisory roles, currently serving as a Deskundige milieu en RO at STAB since July 2001, where responsibilities include providing advice to the Council of State and courts, conducting research on technical-legal disputes, and specializing in geology, soil, waste management, groundwater, and environmental issues. Additional roles include being a board member and symposium organizer for the Stichting Geologisch Instituut Amsterdam since January 1995, as well as serving as a policy advisor at the Ministry of BZK from January 2019 to July 2020. Previous experience includes advising on soil and environmental issues for various municipalities and organizations since the late 1980s, and holding academic qualifications from multiple institutions including the University of Amsterdam and Delft University of Technology. Igor Van der Wal is also listed as an expert in the National Register of Judicial Experts (LRGD).
