Sherida Asinga has a diverse work experience in various communication roles. Sherida began their career as a Public Relations Assistant at Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V in 2001 and worked in this role until 2010. Sherida then served as a Jr. Community Relations Officer for the Refinery Expansion project at the same company from 2010 to 2014.
In 2014, Sherida Asinga joined STVS as a News Anchor, where they worked until 2017. Sherida later returned to Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V and held several positions, including Corporate Communication Officer for the Refinery Expansion project and Refining Operations from 2014 to 2017, and a Corporate Communication Officer for various projects such as the Nearshore Exploration Drilling Project and the Nearshore 3D Seismic Project from 2018 to 2020.
Since 2021, Sherida Asinga has been working as a 3D seismic Shallow Offshore project Corporate Communication Officer at Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V, where they are involved in a three-dimensional (3D) seismic program in the "Shallow Offshore" area, focusing on water depths between 30 and 75m.
Sherida Asinga earned a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the Academy for Higher Education in Arts and Culture (AHKCO) in 2015. Prior to that, they pursued studies in Dutch Language and Literature at the Instituut voor de Opleiding van Leraren (I.O.L.)_MO-A Nederlands, completing the course in 2003. Additionally, Sherida obtained certifications in Critical Thinking and Writing Headlines from LinkedIn in October 2016.
