Jennifer Gibson

Assistant Director, Strategic Initiatives at St Louis County Library

Jennifer Gibson has a diverse work experience in the library and education fields. Jennifer has worked at St. Louis County Library since 2016, starting as a Summer Intern and gradually progressing to roles such as Reference Librarian, Assistant Branch Manager, Reference Manager, and currently, Assistant Director of Strategic Initiatives. Prior to their work at the library, they served as a Reference Librarian at Jefferson College from 2015 to 2016. Jennifer also gained administrative experience as an Administrative Assistant at UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies from 2010 to 2013. In addition, they worked as a Law Library Intern at Pepperdine University School of Law Library in 2010 and as a Summer Intern at Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers in 2009.

Jennifer Gibson completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences at the University of Southern California from 2001 to 2005. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree at Pepperdine Law, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Following this, they enrolled in San Jose State University for their Master's degree in Library and Information Science, completing it in the years 2011 to 2013.
