Michael Doyle has extensive experience in risk and governance roles. Michael is currently the Head of Legal, Risk and Governance at St John WA. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Enterprise Risk Management at the same company. Michael also served as the Risk and Quality Lead at Public Transport Authority, where they were responsible for networks and infrastructure as well as programs and projects. Before that, Michael held the position of Director - Risk Advisory at Deloitte Risk Advisory Pty Ltd. Michael also worked at the Department of Health (WA Health) as the A/Director- System Oversight and Risk Management. Michael's earlier roles include Director positions at the Department of Treasury WA and WA Department of Treausry and Finance. In these roles, they provided strategic planning, advice, and direction, oversaw financial control and internal audit, and managed projects to improve governance and financial management systems.
Michael Doyle obtained a Bachelor of Science (Management) degree from Trinity College Dublin from 1988 to 1993. In 2006, they earned a Diploma in Applied Project Management from the International Project Management Association. Michael became an Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute in 2003 and obtained Associate Status from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 1998. Additionally, they have certifications including an Advanced Management Program from UWA/AIM in 2009, Certified Practicing Risk Manager from the Risk Management Institution of Australasia in 2008, and PRINCE2 Project Management Practitioner from the Project Management Institute of Ireland in 2006.
